I had the most wonderful stay at Karin’s apartment. It is so charming, beautifully decorated and has all the essentials you need for a longer stay. The location was also perfect. It’s easily walkable to Montmartre or to Paris Centre. It’s close to several metro and bus stops and has lots of places to eat around it. There are also several parks and squares nearby to hang out away from all the tourist attractions. I can’t recommend it enough! Karin and Claude were great hosts. They’ve prepared a binder of recommendations and were very responsive before and during my stay. If I get to come back to Paris, I would definitely stay here again! - Amanda, April 2023
Property information
Very cosy and clean 25 m2 in the "South Pigalle" of the 9th arrondissement. Studio in a tiny old building, 2nd floor (no elevator), fully equipped kitchen, wifi, fan/air purifier, washing machine, bathroom with shower. Perfect for one person or a couple. It is equipped with a double bed (two mattresses of 200x80 cm each) and is perfect for one person or a couple who appreciate attention to details. (Marble top, cement tiles, original wooden floor. No tv, no microwave.)
The area is trendy with a lot of bars, but yet with a classical Parisian atmosphere, just below Moulin Rouge. 20 min walk to Opéra, 5 min to Montmartre. Supermarket across the street.

Welcome to my place in classical Paris! I'm a Swedish choreographer and stage director, based here but very often working abroad. My passion is cultural history, so you will find a considerable selection of books, mainly on baroque and renaissance dance and theatre. Please be aware that this is my personal home, and the result of a dream coming true, so carefulness and respectfulness are highly appreciated.
My street is a busy one and there is a bar downstairs, but my soundproof windows are very efficient. However, if you are highly sensitive to noise I recommend that you look for a calmer part of Paris.

Blanche (or Pigalle)
In the residential "South Pigalle" area you find lots of bars, trendy shops and restaurants, but also the classical Haussmann architecture with its typically Parisian details. The exquisite Musée de la vie Romantique, with it's cosy garden, is just around the corner and a perfect get-away on a sunny afternoon. Toulouse-Lautrec used to live next-door, as well as Degas and many other artists and composers in the close neighborhood.
Moulin Rouge is just up the street, the beautiful Place Saint-Georges a few blocks down, and the famous market street rue des Martyrs 5 min away.
